/ Award Winning Bathroom Design

Our 2020 NKBA Winning bathroom - Waikato Kitchen & Bathroom recognition Award

This NKBA winning master ensuite sits on the upper level of this 3-storey home. The design brief for the bathroom was to be “timeless and elegant with a sense of glamour without aligning to any current trend”. 

Design approach 

We designed the upper level of this home with a ‘parents retreat’ in mind, maximising the space to include a large dressing room with custom cabinetry, a sit down make-up area, dual shower designed to cater to individual requirement, large free-standing stone bath (that was required to be craned into position during earlier stages of the build), seperate toilet, double vanity and built in wall storage.

Custom mirror units with recessed built-in storage and elegant pendant lighting create an ambient and bespoke feel to the space. The ensuite is connected directly to a large dressing room to provide a unique retreat for the owners.

Kitchen Material Selection - River House, Tamahere

We worked with our client of this custom house build to tie in the colour and material palette we had designed throughout the rest of the home into their kitchen design. We created a custom oak stain colour for both the floors, kitchen panels and the joinery unit in the family lounge to ensure each room talked to each other visually and conceptually. The set-in track lighting above the kitchen island mimics the shape of the island and ensures an unobtrusive view to the Waikato river beyond. The texture of the oak and stone bench top work beautifully together and add warmth and texture to the clean lines.

/ Custom Built-in cabinetry and Wardrobes

We designed this custom dressing room to create a sense of flow and privacy from the adjoining master ensuite. We continued with a similar colour palette of oak bespoke doors and panelling to create a sense of permanence and elegance. LED strip lighting create a soft ambience and practicality. Above head shelving adds additional storage for baskets. A luxurious sit-down make-up area was also designed into this space.
